Turtle Walker – An Emaho Films Production

Impact Production

In a world of information overload, stories can cut through the noise. They have the power to open hearts, change minds, and inspire people to act.

A film can have an impact on society, but making a film is not the same as social change.

Through Impact Production, filmmakers and video creators can maximize their works’ ability to enact social change and help make a lasting difference in their communities.

The Turtle Walker team attended the Jackson Wild summit in 2019, their time there introduced them to the concept of Impact Production. This is when they also first heard of the impact field guide. The impact field guide is a set of tools and guides designed to help all people working with film make an even greater impact.

On April 18th 2020, the Turtle Walker team first set out on a journey to design and execute our own impact strategy and campaign along with the Jnana Foundation utilizing the help of the Impact Guide.

Goals of Phase 2

  • Expand Phase I to include Education and Outreach and expand on Scientific Research components.
  • This will leverage the Turtle Walker film and the shorter impact films, Coastal Guardians and The Leatherback Project (working title), to inspire youth to care about sea turtles, their marine ecosystems, and the other closely related ecosystems that contribute to ocean health.
  • With the help of HHMI Tangled Bank Studios, we can create an impact in India and the USA.
